Yesterday as I was driving through rural fields filled with corn taller than me, my car disturbed a flock of birds. All at once they ascended into the sky like a sheet whipped by the wind on a clothesline, then descended into the corn on the other side of the road, as if it was a dance they’d rehearsed.
Stage left! Now stage right!
